One of the biggest mistakes that most people make when trying to do a fund raiser without the help of a trained fund raising organization is that they fail to place their volunteers in the proper positions. You should not place people in leadership roles that are not qualified to lead, but it happens all the time. People who love to help will often say yes to whatever is asked of them. Thus, they end up helping out in areas they are totally un-qualified for.
