Sales Management for Commercial Trash Services

Not all sales management jobs are glamorous. Often we think of used car sales people as schumks and this indeed is the public perception, yet we all drive cars and without these sales people selling new and used cars, well there may not be an entire US Automaker Industry here in America. Ziggy Ziglar use to say; Nothing Happens Until Someone Sells Something.

If you think about it that is true, of course Zig does admit in his books and tapes on selling that he himself never was a top salesperson, rather he became a top sales motivator over the years and to his credit has sold lots of books and tapes. Perhaps you have a few already?

What most people do not understand is that everything has to be sold. There are manure salespeople, Toilet sales people and even commercial trash service sales people. In fact these folks have some interesting slogans; Rather sell cows crap than be a cow; It maybe crap to you but it is our bread and butter; or Your Trash is Our Cash. Indeed, indeed.

Managing a team of commercial trash service sales people is not easy as most businesses hate to pay more costs, but they also realize they need short intervals between trash pick-up or it becomes a total mess. They also realize that folks dump their own trash in these dumpsters as well. But if no sales people show up to upgrade services then our civilization is full of gar-baaagsh.

Believe it or not it takes a strong sales team to sell commercial garbage services and there is a lot of competition in this industry sub-sector. So please go online and buy books and tapes to help your commercial garbage teams sell more services, so that all this trash does not pile up around here. Consider all this in 2006.
